PetroBind is a fuel station management app used by station owners and their staff to run daily operations — shifts, tanks, point of sale, credit (udhar) accounts, payroll, and financial reporting. This page explains what data the app handles and how it's used.
Who controls the data
Each fuel station's data is owned and controlled by that station's business (the "Station Owner") who operates their own PetroBind account. If you're a station employee or customer, contact your station owner for requests about your data — they are the data controller; PetroBind is the platform they use to store and process it.
What we collect
- Account data — email address and password (used only for sign-in via our backend provider, Supabase; we never see or store your password in plain text).
- Business operational data entered by station staff, including shift and attendance records, fuel tank and inventory levels, point-of-sale transactions, customer credit (udhar) ledgers, payroll and employee records (name, role, salary), and financial/accounting entries.
- Device data — standard technical data such as browser/app type and IP address, collected automatically by our hosting and backend providers for security and reliability.
We do not collect location data, and the app does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
How data is used
Data is used solely to provide the app's functionality to the station that entered it: running reports, calculating balances, and syncing records across the station's devices, including while offline.
Where data is stored
Data is stored with Supabase, our backend/database provider, and served via Netlify. We do not sell data to third parties or share it for advertising purposes.
Offline storage
To support offline use, the app caches the application files and a queue of not-yet-synced actions on your device. This local data is cleared when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.
Data retention & deletion
Data is retained for as long as the station's account is active. Station owners can request deletion of their station's data by contacting us; account holders can request deletion of their personal account data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these, contact your station owner (for operational/employee data) or us directly (for account data) at the email below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
